These are asphalt streets that were likely originally constructed in the 1960's. Portions of these streets do not have curb and gutter. The existing pavement will be removed and replaced with new asphalt pavement and new curb & gutter. Deficient sidewalk panels will be replaced and handicap ramps will be installed at the intersections. New sidewalk installation will be considered in locations where it currently does not exist. Sanitary and storm sewers will be inspected to determine any necessary repairs. The water and gas mains will be upgraded as needed by Austin Utilities.The estimated street reconstruction cost of the project is $735,000 and would be paid via an improvement bond issue. The project is scheduled for construction in 2025.
