Site work for a civil project in Tempe, Arizona. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of September 16th, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** This project will provide for the drilling, development, equipping, and construction of one replacement production well (Well 15) and one injection well (Well 15R). Replacement Well 15 will add new groundwater production and recovery well capacity to the Tempe municipal water distribution system for back-up water production, supplement drought supply, water quality blending and emergency preparedness. The existing Well 15 will be converted to a monitor well. Recharge Well 15R will be used to inject excess surface water supplies during periods of low municipal water distribution system demand. Injecting water into the aquifer increases emergency water supplies, mitigates aquifer depletion, and localizes physical water supplies within the City to enhance drought resiliency.
