The Town of Wolcott (owners) is requesting proposals from qualified contractors for demolition and site stabilization of flood-damaged/landslide property at 696 North Wolcott Road, Wolcott, VT 05680 The Town of Wolcott is participating in the Flood Resilient Communities Fund which provides funding to towns to purchase and demolish properties damaged in natural disasters. This is a state funded program administered by the State of Vermont, Department of Emergency Management. Contractors will provide their competitive bid to demolish and/or remove all improvements, including but not limited to, septic systems, water wells/springs, buildings, foundations, electrical and phone lines, pavement, fuel tanks, outside/inside debris and household hazardous materials. Contractors are responsible for returning the project site to a smooth, graded, stabilized and vegetated condition that is in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local statutes and regulations. Demolition Completion Demolition and site stabilization must be completed 90 days after Notice to Proceed. Evaluation of Bids & Award of Contractors The winning bidder will be selected at the sole judgment of the Town of Wolcott Select board or designee, based on technical expertise and experience, cost, project schedule, and completeness of proposal. Applications from minority and local businesses are encouraged. The Town of Wolcott reserves the right to select the most qualified proposal and may not necessarily select the lowest bid if it best serves the Towns interest.
