Renovation of a transportation facility in Oakland, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

Project has been cancelled This Contract includes requirements related to the District's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program including Small Business Elements (SB Elements) as part of its DBE Program that includes a DBEGoal of 18% of the total Bid Price excluding any Allowance and Option Bid Items, if applicable. Bidders are required to meet the DBE and/or SBE Participation Goal(s) or demonstrate sufficient good faith efforts to do so as a condition of being eligible for Award of this Contract. There is no Small Business Entity (SBE) Goal for this Contract. The Base Bid includes such work as providing a 600kVA UPS system as the specified location at the Lake Merritt station and associated infrastructure, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, civil,architecture, structural and communication work. The scope includes building new electrical room, UPS and battery rooms, mechanical HVAC, fire alarm and fire protection systems. Extensive coordination and planning will be required to install the new 600kVA UPS system and facilitate the power cut over from the existing UPSsystem to the new UPS system. Provide two 300KVA UPS and battery systems at the specified location on the Lake Merritt Administration Building, and associated infrastructure, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, architecture, structural, and communication work. The new UPS systems shall be installed to backup essential panels "IP" and "HP" which includes loads such as Central Computer Room (CCR), Relay Rack Rooms, Operations Control Center (OCC), CSE, BPD and future CBTC equipment. Other Contractors may be performing work at the same station or area for projects such as: 49GH-110 - Computer Based Train Control (CBTC) 17BJ001 - LMA Plaza Modernization 54RR510 - LMA HVAC Renovation 54RR550 - LMA Fire Suppression 60CC04 - Modernized OCC 15II - Emergency Lighting 17HMRR1 - METG Generator Replacement 15TC-183 - Water Intrusion in TCR Contractor shall coordinate with the District to avoid conflicts with the projects mentioned above when preparing Construction Implementation plan as discussed in Article 1.17 of this Specification The Work shall include, but is not limited to, design and calculations, materials and labor, manufacturing, procuring, construction, testing, commissioning, and training in order to form a complete and fully functional operation system for the following Work elements. The Scope of Work noted below is intended as an overview and is not all inclusive. The Contractor is responsible to provide all work and staging per the Contract Documents. The Lake Merritt Complex must remain in continuous operations, and any work affecting electrical operations shall be completed during non-revenue working hours. Demolition Room P252: Demolish interior walls, doors, floors, electrical, communication, mechanical, plumbing and fire protections systems. New Installation Room C166 Provide new electrical feeder and route from main switchboard "A" to room P252. Provide junction boxes as needed for every 270 degree conduit bends. Open ceilings tiles as needed to route new feeder and reinstall tiles to restore to existing condition. Penetrate walls as needed to route conduit to the platform level room P252. New Installation Room P252: Provide 2-hour fire rated walls throughout the interior space of the room. Provide doors and floors. Provide furred walls. Provide signage. Provide fire extinguisher cabinet. Provide concrete ramp. Provide house keeping pad and steel support beams for mechanical and electrical equipment. Provide two 300KVA UPS and MBC systems. Provide electrical switchboards, battery cabinets, panels and transformers. Provide grounding and bonding for electrical equipment and devices. Provide UPS and battery remote monitoring systems. Provide lighting and controls. Provide fire alarm system and card readers. Provide electrical. Mechanical and fire protection pipes and conduits. Provide supply and return duct and accessories. Provide volume dampers. Provide VAV box and controllers Provide exhaust fan ducts and stainless steel exhaust ductwork and accessories. Provide AC units and condensate pumps. Provide DDC Sensors and Control Points. Provide chilled water pumps and eyewash stations. Provide fire smoke dampers. Provide emergency telephone system. Provide fire protection clean agent system, nozzles and piping. Provide fire sprinkler piping dry zone system. Provide butterfly, gate and check valves. Provide clean agent releasing panel. Provide smoke detectors, strobe, visual alarms, abort switches and manual pull stations. Provide testing and commissioning for electrical, mechanical and fire protection systems.
