Site work and paving for a road / highway in Hayward, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The Sawyer County Forestry Department is planning to rehab 2.4 miles of Trail 40 located in Section 5 T40N - R3W, Section 6 T40N - R3W and Section 7 T40N -R3W. Work must be completed by December 31, 2026. Sawyer County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any informalities in any proposal, or to accept any proposal which will best serve the interests of the County. Sawyer County reserves the right to reject any or all bids. CONSTRUCTION - Road shaping, crowning, and grading shall be done in accordance with this plan. - All necessary silt fence and other temporary erosion control structures must be installed daily in any disturbed areas requiring erosion control. TRAIL CROWNING, 3/4" CRUSHED GRAVEL, PIT RUN, SILT FENCE Conditions- Project area is 2.4 miles long and 10' wide. Starting at FR 162 going west 0.24 miles will be rehabbed along with a 0.56-mile section that starts 1.6 miles west ofthe first section. Additionally, the 1.6 miles between the two rehab sections will have some light grading/shaping work done to remove large rocks to allow access to the second rehab section. Rehab trail sections will consist of a 8-foot-wide graveled surface consisting of 4 inches ofpit run and 3 inches of gravel. Trail is to be graveled and crowned using both existing and additional material. Please include an hourly equipment rate in case funding allows for additional work to be done. Please include a description of equipment to be used including size/horsepower etc. Please include a cost per unit ofmaterials in case funding allows for additional work to be done. In lieu of a performance bond, no partial payments will be made during the course ofthe project. Payment will be made in one lump sum for the total project when all contract obligations have been met to the satisfaction of Sawyer County. The contractor shall comply with all recommended BMP guidelines described in "Wisconsin Forestry Best Management Practices for Water Quality" published by the Wisconsin DNR. INSURANCE: The contractor shall procure and shall maintain during the life ofthis contract insurance as follows: a. Maintain worker' compensation insurance for all employees engaged in work. b. Maintain commercial liability and property damage insurance against any claim(s) which might occur in carrying out this agreement/contract. Minimum coverage shall be five hundred thousand ($500,000) liability for bodily injury and property damage including products liability and completed operations. Provide motor vehicle insurance for all owned, non-owned, and hired vehicles that are used in carrying out the contract. Minimum coverage shall be five hundred thousand ($500,000) per occurrence combined single limit for automobile liability and property damage. c. Provide an insurance certificate indicating this coverage, countersigned by an insurer licensed to do business in Wisconsin, covering the period ofthe agreement/contract. This insurance certificate is required prior to the issuance of a purchase order or before the commencement ofthe contract. d. The County reserves the right to require higher or lower limits where warranted.
