Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Gretna, Florida. Completed plans call for the addition of a clubhouse / community center; for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; fitness / recreation center; fitness / recreation center; fitness / recreation center; and fitness / recreation center.
Gretna Community Center Renovation and Expansion The completion date for this project will be 270 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $1,500.00 per day. The Bid will be awarded the lowest responsive bidder. A. Painting and finishing of interior and exterior items and surfaces, unless otherwise indicated. B. Includes field painting of bare and covered pipes and ducts (including color coding), and hangers, exposed steel and iron work, and primed metal surfaces of equipment installed under mechanical and electrical work. C. Paint exposed surfaces, except as otherwise indicated, whether or not colors are designated. If not designated, colors will be selected by Architect from designer colors available for the coatings required. A. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required to prepare lawn bed and install sodding, seeding and mulching as shown on contract drawings and as specified. B. Areas to receive sodded grass shall be: Centipede A. This section covers the storm water management practices that the Contractor shall employ in accordance with the NPDES permit governing storm water discharges during construction and in accordance with erosion control practices specified in other sections. B. The Owner has petitioned the DEP for the storm water discharges during construction at this site to be covered by the NPDES General Permit for Construction Activity. A Notice of Intent (NOI) to be covered under this permit has been filed by the Owner. The Contractor is required to file a separate NOI at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to any earth disturbing activities. C. The Contractor shall manage the discharge of storm water from the site in accordance with the NPDES permit and this document. The Contractor shall be responsible for conducting the storm water management practices in accordance with the permit. The Contractor shall be responsible for any enforcement action taken or imposed by Federal or State agencies, including the cost of fines, construction delays, and remedial actions resulting from the Contractor's failure to comply with the permit provisions. D. The Contractor shall monitor the suitability of the designated management practices to achieve the storm water quality provisions of the permit, and shall notify the Owner of the need to change management practices. If changes are ordered by the Owner, an adjustment in Contractor's fee shall be considered in accordance with the General Conditions. However, the Contractor's failure to monitor or report deficiencies to the Owner will result in the Contractor being liable for fines and construction delays resulting from any Federal or State agency enforcement action.
