A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Fiber Optic Slack Pull and Underground Installation The selected Contractor will be excpected to adhere to the following: 1. Locate and access existing fiber slack at utility poles adjacent to each designated traffic cabinet along Highway 66. 2. Install cable guards on utility poles where fiber is being routed from aerial to underground, to protect the fiber from mechanical damage and meet utility safety standards. 3. Pull existing fiber slack underground, including: - Placement of tracer wire along the entire underground route. - Ensuring proper slack management and protection during the pull. 4. Route the fiber to the nearest underground vault that serves the associated traffic cabinet. 5. Label and document fiber paths, vault entry points, and tracer wire endpoints. 6. Restore all disturbed areas, including sidewalks, roadway shoulders, landscaping, and pavement to original or better condition. 7. Coordinate traffic control, if required, in accordance with local DOT standards. 8. Adhere to all local and state permitting and utility marking requirements, including TN One Call. The Scope of Service will cover: 1. Multiple traffic locations along Highway 66 (Winfield Dunn Parkway) in the City of Sevierville (GIS drawing attached) 2. A detailed map and cabinet locations will be provided upon request The Contractor shall immediately refer the discovery of any conflicts or omissions in the Proposal Documents or any requests for clarifications to the individual named below. Instructions are to be accepted only from that individual. When necessary, a written clarification via email will be furnished to all interested parties. Oral clarifications will not be binding. All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing via email no later than June 23, 2025. Answers to submitted questions will be shared with all interested parties via emailed addenda to the original RFP. All interested parties must acknowledge receipt of any addenda via email to Brian Wagner. Questions received after the above date will not be considered.
