The Larimer County Road and Bridge Department is requesting quotations with the intention of contracting with one or more companies for the following Services and/or Goods: Larimer County is seeking bids on behalf of the Road & Bridge Department to contract with one (1) or more vendors to provide Class 5 and Class 6 Aggregate Base Course for pick-up on an as-needed basis. There is no guaranteed amount of work but it is estimated 5,000 to 7,000 tons of virgin road base, recycled asphalt, and recycled concrete will be needed throughout 2029 for road maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS - Vendor has current and up to date insurance. Vendor is licensed in the State of Coloado. Looking for quotes on Class 5 and Class 6 Aggregate Base Course per ton loaded into County trucks. County will haul in County trucks. Bidders are responsible for carefully examining specifications prior to preparation and submittal of a bid. The successful bidder must provide material meeting the specifications described below. Bidders may bid one or more materials from one or more locations. All aggregate materials provided tor. include recycled concrete, recycled asphalt, and virgin Road Base, must meet CDOT Standard Specifications for Road & Bridge Construction. These requirements are in Section 703.03, Aggregate for Bases, and Table 703-2, Classification for Aggregate Base Course (under the Class 5 or class 6 Column), in the CDOT Standard Specifications for Road & Bridge Construction Manual. Please list your competitive price-per-ton below, for one or more of the following: Recycled Concrete Class 5 Recycled Concrete Class 6 Recycled Asphalt Class 5 Recycled Asphalt Class 6 Class 5 Road Base (native gravel) Class 6 Road Base (native gravel Materials offered must be available for as-needed pick up by Larimer County personnel (quoted price must include the cost to load the aggregate into County vehicles). Looking for four, 1 year renewals starting August 1 2025 and ending July 31 2029. This solicitation will be awarded to the vendor with the most responsive, responsible, reasonable quotation meeting all specifications and deemed the best fit and most advantageous to Larimer County. To assist in the decision for award: interviews may be held, background checks may be performed, references may be contacted, and other inquiries may be taken to determine the abilities of the vendor. The term of the agreement shall be for one (1) year from the date the agreement is executed. The County, at its sole option, may offer to extend this Contract for up to Four (4) additional one-year terms. The extension option may be exercised providing satisfactory service is given, and must be mutually agreed upon in writing, by and between the County and the Award Vendor. Larimer County is diligent about enforcing insurance requirements listed in all contracts. This diligence means that the County expects that all vendors meet the insurance coverage requirements provided. See Certificate of Insurance example and Quick Tips. Proof of Auto Liability and Workers' Compensation insurance is waived if goods/products are not delivered to a County facility (delivery is made to roadway or private staging area), or they are delivered by a common carrier (i.e. private shipper or freight forwarder, etc.).
