Site work, outdoor lighting and renovation of a mixed-use development in Markham, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The project site will be located at the Markham Civic Centre, 101 Town Centre Boulevard. The Markham Civic Centre serves as the main administrative building for City elected officials and staff; and is a high profile and busy location. As such, the work must be carried out to a high standard of quality, adhere to industry safety standards as well as the City's health and safety requirements, adhere to the project schedule, and minimize the impact to the function of the building during construction. This is a prequalification for general contractors and their project ream (ie. sub-contractors) only and is not for intended construction management firms. "Similar Projects" are considered to be projects which are approximately $350,000 dollars or greater and may include but are not limited to: o Localized structural concrete repairs to the reinforced concrete roof slab and beams; o Temporary shoring and fencing, signage, lights, etc., for redirecting traffic during construction; o Wholesale removal of existing waterproofing and installation of a new 2-ply hot rubberized asphaltic waterproofing system; o Wholesale removal and replacement of podium overburden to facilitate waterproofing, including concrete curbs, asphalt pavement, sod, etc. o Wholesale removal, temporary stockpile and reinstatement of existing paving stones. o Localized drain replacement; o New through-wall drains (at retaining wall); o New silicone coating (at retaining wall); o Localized cladding repairs o Electrical work i. Exterior lighting ii. Exterior power o Site cleanup and restoration; Only Contractors that have been prequalified under this RFPQ will be eligible to submit a Bid for future projects pertaining to exterior work projects at the Markham Civic Centre.
