Renovation of a civil project in Valleyview, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Hamlet of Ridgevalley is one of six hamlets within the Municipal District of Greenview (MD Greenview) and is located approximately 390 km northeast of Edmonton, and approximately 65 km east of Grande Prairie. The community has a piped wastewater collection system with a central lift station. This lift station collects all gravity flows from the community as well as flows from a small lift station near the water treatment plant. All flows collected at the central lift station are pumped to the wastewater lagoon. The existing wastewater lagoon is a facultative lagoon consisting of 1 facultative cell and 1 storage cell. The wastewater lagoon storage cell was built in 1982, the date of construction for the facultative cell is unknown (facultative cell was constructed prior to the storage cell). The Ridgevalley lagoon has a short discharge pipe that releases treated wastewater northeast of the storage cell to a drainage ditch. The drainage ditch conveys the treated wastewater northwest / west overland, across Range Road 262 to a tributary of Cornwall Creek. The existing wastewater systems in Ridgevalley are aging and are in need of substantial upgrades. This project includes upgrades needed to bring the system up to the current codes and standards. Contractors will be responsible to maintain the function of the existing wastewater lagoon while upgrades are constructed and commissioned. The intent of the bid call is to obtain offers for general construction of wastewater system upgrades, including the supply, onsite integration, and commissioning of various equipment, including, pumps, piping, blowers, valves, instrumentation, programmable logic control, programming, wiring, electrical panels and junction boxes, starters, VFDs, and all other ancillary support systems. The major components of the general construction contract include the following: Upgrades to the Existing Central Lift Station, near the existing school Construction of new power and controls building for the existing Central Lift Station, including addition of a generator Demolition of the existing power and control building at the Central Lift Station Construction of ~800 m of 150 mm forcemain between Central Lift Station and WWTF site Construction of 1 new Aeration Pond, 5,350 m3 Construction of 1 new SAGR Pond, 815m3 Construction of pre-fabricated blower building at WWTF site Construction of re-circulation lift station at WWTF site Berm repairs for exiting treated effluent storage pond Construction of ~ 640 m of 200 mm gravity WWTF discharge effluent pipe Decommissioning of existing facultative lagoon cell Decommissioning of existing 75 mm forcemain Replacement of 4 sections of 200 mm clay tile pipe within the Hamlet Documents can be obtained from https://m2eng.bidsandtenders.ca/
