The Sawgrass Park Dam Improvements project includes raising the existing embankment and lowering the auxiliary overflow of the dam, protecting the dam embankment with grid-tied concrete block mat and lining the outlet pipe. The project is located in Sawgrass Park. The construction improvements include clearing and grubbing, 1300 CY of Class 10 Excavation, 88 LF of Spray Applied Mortar Pipe Lining of 36-inch corrugated metal pipe (CMP), 1200 SY of grid-tied concrete block mat, 340 SY of shared use path removal and replacement, 430 LF of wood rail fence, hydraulic seeding, erosion control, and removal and replacement of existing electric line. Work on the improvement shall be commenced any time after a written Notice to Proceed is issued, no earlier than July 28, 2025 and no later than October 6, 2025. The Contractor shall fully complete the overall project no later than May 29, 2026. Full completion for the overall project shall be defined as all work including punch list items completed, and all improvements ready for final acceptance. Should the Contractor fail to fully complete the work in this timeframe, liquidated damages of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day will be assessed for work not fully completed within the designated Contract term(s). This fee is refundable, provided the following conditions are met: (1) The Contract Documents are returned complete and in a good usable condition.
