Question Deadline Jul 15, 2025 at 3:00 PM The proposed project consists of the construction of a new lift station along Alexander Road which will allow for flows to be rerouted from an existing overburdened liftstation (Hickory Park lift station) and provide additional system capacity for additional sewer service and septic conversions. Construct approximately 15,343 linear feet of new 16" force main along Alexander Street and Rehwinkel Rd to connect the proposed Alexander lift station to Phase 1A line along Highway 98. Construct approximately 1,853 linearfeet of 4" new sewer forcemain along Wakulla Arran Road to reroute some flows to Palmetto lift station and approximately 13,331 linear feet along Wakulla Arran Road, Cajer Posey Road and Alexander Road of 12" new sewer force main to connect Palmetto lift station to the proposed Alexander lift station. The new site for the lift station is on a parcel currently owned by Wakulla County approximately 4,200 feet south of the intersection between Martin Luther King Memorial Boulevard and Cajer Posey Road. The lift station is designed to handle peak hour flows of 2,000 gallons per minute. There are also emergency connections for the bypass pump. The construction will include an asphalt driveway as well as the duplex lift station site. The electrical equipment, controls, generator, and pumps installed at the Alexander Lift Station are standardized across all the County's existing lift stations. Therefore, the County will use the same type of aforementioned equipment for a seamless integration within the existing system. The available grant funding for this project is $9,590,115.00.
