Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Nashville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), doing business as WeGo Transit, (hereafter may also be referred to as the "Agency(s)" "WeGo Public Transit," or "WeGo") is soliciting bids from firms qualified to Subsurface Improvements, Paving and Striping. See technical specifications for details. Bidders are advised that the procurement resulting from this solicitation will be funded with funds received from the Federal Transit Administration and the State of Tennessee. Bidders are to carefully review CONSTRUCTION FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMIN CLAUSES and TENNESSEE STATE CONTRACT CLAUSES of the Contract Terms and Conditions, as all terms and conditions expressed in those sections will apply to this procurement and resulting contract. Bidders are to submit with their bid a copy of the required TN contractor's licenses for their firm. Bonding requirements: o Bidder must submit a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of their bid with the bid. o Prior to contract execution, successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the project bid. Davis Bacon Act compliance is required for this project. See Federal Transit Administration Clauses: Davis Bacon Act - Copeland Anti-Kickback Act; See Appendix A of ITB for information regarding Davis Bacon Rates This Contract requires Buy America Compliance - See Buy America Requirements and Required Forms (Form 14 - Buy America Certification). he Agency is not liable for any costs incurred by prospective bidders in the preparation of submitting a bid in response to this ITB, in presentation of the bid or any other activities related to responding to this solicitation. If Nashville MTA reasonably believes that Final Completion will be inexcusably delayed, then Nashville MTA shall be entitled, but not required, to withhold from any amounts otherwise due Contractor an amount then believed by Nashville MTA to be adequate to recover Liquidated Damages applicable to such delays. If and when Contractor overcomes the delay in achieving Final Completion, or any part thereof, for which Nashville MTA has withheld payment, then Nashville MTA shall promptly release to Contractor only those funds withheld, but no longer applicable, as Liquidated Damages. Substantial Completion" is the stage in the progress of the Project when the Project or designated portion thereof is sufficiently complete in accordance with the Contract so that Nashville MTA can occupy or utilize the Project for its intended use. Contractor shall accomplish Substantial Completion of the Project within One hundred fifty (150) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued. The Agency(s) reserve(s) the right to request subcontractor changes to any contract. The Agency(s) reserves the right to cancel this ITB in writing, or postpone, or extend the date and time for submitting bids at any time. The Agency(s) reserve(s) the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any or all informalities or irregularities in the bids received, to request clarifications of the bid from the bidder, to investigate the qualifications and experience of any bidders, to reject any provisions in any bid, to modify proposal contents, to obtain new bids, to negotiate the requested services and contract terms with any bidders. The Agency(s) reserve(s) the right to award the bid for the requested services in full, in part, and/or a single item to one or more bidders. The Agency(s) will determine the most responsive bidder(s) whose bid is most advantageous to the Agency(s). If there is a discrepancy between the price written and the price listed in the figures, the Agency(s) acknowledge(s) that the price written is the correct price. DBE (10.4%)
