50260 - Site Safety Upgrades, Barrier Free Improvements & Sidewalk Repairs The purpose of this project is to provide repairs, upgrades, and improvements to sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, and barrier free accessibility throughout the Southwest quadrant of NAIT’s main campus. The scope of work for this project includes: Line painting shared pedestrian-vehicle aisles Crosswalk line painting Removal and repair of sidewalks, curbs, and gutters Widening existing sidewalks Upgrading entrances to Buildings E, H, and F with accessible ramps and sidewalks Adding curb ramps c/w tactile surface indicators at crosswalks and DATS locations Supply and installation of bollards and handrail Supply and installation of barrier free wave sensors and door openers in Buildings E, S, X, H, O, and T Upgrades to lighting at entrances to Buildings X, E, and T 50265 - Signage, Wayfinding, & Lighting Renewal & Upgrade This project complements Project 50260 by completing scopes of work closely related to those in 50260 but are ineligible under the funding source. The scopes of work for this project include: Supply and installation of new benches and waste receptacles Supply and installation of new concrete foundation and surface mounting light standards, fixtures, and luminaires.
