Site work and paving for a civil project in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Notice is hereby given that bids will be received online through online for furnishing all work and materials for the construction, complete in place, of the I-94 Lift Station Force main Replacement project, consisting of the major work items in the following approximate quantities: 3,100 LF 16" HDPE DR 11 DIPS Sanitary Sewer Force main, HDD 220 LF 72" RCP Culvert 1,000 SY Remove and Replace Bituminous Pavement 800 CY Turf Restoration 1 LS Traffic Control and Detour This project is subject to Responsible Contractor Certification. Bids must be submitted electronically through online no later than the date and time noted above, on the Proposal Forms provided in accordance with the Contract Documents, Plans, and Specifications as prepared by Bolton & Menk, Inc., , which are on file for inspection in the office of the City Clerk and City Engineer. For this project, the City will only be accepting online electronic bids through online. To access the electronic bid form, download the project document and click the bidding button at the top of the advertisement. Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list thrfor bids to be accepted. Bids will only be accepted from Contractors who purchase Bidding Documents as specified above. Due Date for Written Questions All Questions, Either Administrative or Technical, Shall Be Submitted via Email to Tony Sperkowski at Asperkowski@wheaton.il.us No Later Than June 30, 2025, at 11:00 Am (Cst). BONDS Bid Bond: A Bid Bond/Bid Deposit of 10% of the full contract price is required with your bid submittal. Payment Bond: The successful Bidder shall provide an original Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the full amount of the award. Performance Bond: The successful Bidder shall provide an original Performance Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the full amount of the award. Maintenance Bond: The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Maintenance Bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the final contract price for the faithful performance of the Bidder's obligation to maintain and keep in good repair, the work herein contracted to be done and performed for one (1) year from the date of final acceptance by the City. The cost of said bonds shall be included in the total bid amount. No bid will be considered unless submitted online prior to the time noted above for the closing of the bids, and accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that the bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract with the City to perform the work described in the proposal. This deposit will be subject to forfeiture as provided by law. The deposits for the three lowest bidders will be retained by the City until the contract has been awarded and executed but not longer than sixty (60) days. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days following the bid opening. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, in the best interest of the City. For Bids exceeding $50,000, the Bidder shall submit to the City a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3 on the Responsible Contractor Verification Form included with the Bid Proposal. Final Completion: December 31, 2025. he work included in these Contract Documents consists of furnishing of all labor, equipment, materials, skills, and facilities required to complete the following: A. Installation of Traffic Control Devices and Erosion Control Measures B. Removals C. Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer Construction D. Street Patching E. Restoration and All Other Miscellaneous Work Shown on the Plans and Included in These Specifications . Projects under active construction in the region include, but are not limited to: Metropolitan Council - Lake Elmo West Connection Project: MCES is under active construction to extend a 21-inch gravity sanitary sewer system to the discharge location and tie-in point of the forcemain included in the I-94 Lift Station Forcemain Replacement project. The MCES project is temporarily bypassing Lake Elmo's existing 8-inch forcemain west of Inwood Avenue to accommodate the gravity pipe installation. Washington County - CSAH 13 (Inwood Avenue) Rehabilitation Project: Washington County will be improving CSAH 13 (Inwood Avenue) in 2025 from 10th Street to Stillwater Boulevard. Northbound traffic will be closed for the duration of the project. Roers Development: A private development is scheduled to be under construction in 2025 along Hudson Boulevard west of Julia Avenue. The scope of improvements includes reconstruction of the north half of Hudson Boulevard. Traffic impacts will need to be coordinated if the projects overlap. City of Lake Elmo - I-94 Lift Station Pump Replacement: The City of Lake Elmo intends to direct purchase three new pumps for the I-94 Lift Station to accommodate new conditions created with an upsized forcemain and new discharge location.
