Site work and paving for a road / highway in Newark, Delaware. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Town of Townsend (Municipality) is performing a roadway rehabilitation program for the roadways within the municipal limits. A portion of the funding for this project will be provided by Delaware Municipal Street Aid. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to: roadway milling and resurfacing, roadway base repair where necessary, and the installation of superpave leveling courses as directed by the Engineer. The scope of the work is more fully described in the Project Specifications herein. Questions Due Date Online Portal Deadline to submit Questions Jul 10th 2025, 5:00 PM EDT The Base Bid for this project includes work performed at the locations described in Section 1.01.A.1. The contractor shall provide mobilization(s), maintenance and protection of traffic, and temporary erosion and sediment controls as required to perform the work. 1. Pavement Resurfacing a. The limits for asphalt pavement milling shall be determined and marked out by the Engineer/Municipality. b. The Contractor shall inventory all existing striping before the beginning of milling operations. c. The Contractor shall sawcut existing asphalt as required to provide quality, neat and even joints between existing and proposed surfaces.
