The Project Includes Removal of Approximately 273 Lf of 8 Diameter Vitrified Clay Sanitary Sewer and Replace With 273 Lf of 8 Pvc Sanitary Sewer. Removal and Replacement of 18'' Hdpe Storm Sewer and Catch Basins as Necessary to Facilitate Sanitary Sewer Replacement. Performance of All Necessary Related Work to Perform the Above Tasks Including, but Not Limited to, Associated Demolition, Clearing, Grubbing, Lateral Re-connections, Dewatering, Bypass Pumping, Pavement Removal, Maintenance of Traffic, Restoration of Grass Area, Curb, Sidewalk, Pavement, Drainage, and Erosion/sediment Control. Bids Shall Be Accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, Certified or Cashiers' Check in an Amount Equal to 10% of the Bid Price, Payable to New Castle County and Conditioned to Be Forfeited to Said County for Failure to Enter Into a Contract, if Awarded. The Bid Bond Shall Be an Original Document Containing Original Signatures, and Original Seals Shall Be Attached if the Corporate Surety and/or Bidder Have Corporate Seals. Awards, if Any, Will Be Made to the Lowest and Best Responsible Bidder. Prequalification/qualification New Castle County Will Only Accept Bids From Contractors Either (I) Prequalified in Category E(C), Sanitary Sewer, Collector Sewer or (Ii) Qualified in Category B(B1), Sanitary Sewer Systems, Collector Sewer Projects Greater Than or Equal to $250,000. Small Business Enterprise Program This Contract Will Be Awarded Pursuant to New Castle County's Small Business Enterprise (Sbe) Program. All Bidders Must Comply With the Sbe Program by Either (I) Satisfying the Project Goal Through Utilization of an Sbe to Perform Work Under the Contract; or (Ii) Demonstrate Their Good Faith Effort to Obtain Sbe Participation in the Contract.
