Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Newark, Delaware. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade clubhouse / community center.
As of January 15, 2026 the project has been awarded. Sealed bids in response to Invitation to Bid No. 25-01 George Wilson Center Improvements will be received. Prevailing wage rates apply to this project. All contractors and subcontractors performing work covered by this contract must pay their workers the State of Delaware prevailing wages and fringe benefits determinations for the classifications. Alternatively, bids may be emailed in PDF form to the City Purchasing Division by the deadline. The City's preference is a single PDF copy by email in order to keep this process environmentally friendly. Only emails up to 25 MB in size can be accepted. There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the project site. All questions or requests for information regarding this Invitation to Bid must be submitted via email by the specified deadline to allow staff sufficient time to develop answers to questions deemed appropriate. Submit all questions or requests for information in bulk to limit the total number of emails received. The Invitation to Bid documents may be obtained from the City website. Question Deadline 11/12/2025 at 5:00 PM ET All questions/requests for information regarding this Invitation to Bid must be submitted via email to contracts@newark.de.us
