Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Chatham, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The proposed work consists of cold milling the existing asphalt surface and paving a variable depth HMA Surface Course, IL 9.5, Mix C, N50 (Fiber Modified), along with removal and replacement of sidewalk curb ramps and traffic control, officially known as the VILLAGE OF CHATHAM, BRISTOL AND HASTINGS ROAD- HMA MILLAND OVERLAY, Chatham, Illinois. The project shall consist of saw cutting, cold milling and disposal of existing HMA surface course, placement of temporary ramps, overlay of existing pavement with variable depth HMA Surface Course (Fiber Modified), removal and replacement of ADA sidewalk ramps and adjacent curb, and all traffic control along Bristol and Hastings Road adjacent to the work. The length of the project is 1034 LF and the nominal pavement width is 27 LF. All work shall be in accordance with the contract documents and details and shall be performed in accordance with the Illinois Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for the work and materials specified. Construction Layout and site QA/QC shall be performed by the Contractor. All labor and materials are included as part of this Request for Proposals and shall be subject to the Illinois Department of Labor Prevailing Wages for such work. As a condition of this contract, all work shall be performed by a Prime contractor prequalified by the State of Illinois to do work for the Illinois Department of Transportation, including sub-contractors. All work must be completed by August 29, 2025 allowing for a two-week period (if necessary) for the village to conduct additional patching operations after milling operations have been completed. Method of Payment: This work shall paid at the agreed contract unit prices. Final payment will be made based upon completion and acceptance of the improvements.
