Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Chatham, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Generally, the work includes exterior improvements at the south entrance including paving, furnishings, plantings, and an extension of the existing canopy. Construction for the project is scheduled to commence promptly upon Board approval and be substantially complete by June 30, 2025. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, made payable to the Owner, Chatham Area Public Library. Bids not accompanied by a bid bond will be rejected. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Contractor shall pay the premiums for these bonds. The Owner, Chatham Area Public Library reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids.
