Summary: Retirement Brick Installation Project Commodity Code: 91273, 96233 Hanover County VA has a new project called Retirement Brick Installation Project. The County has purchased 1,140 bricks (626 etched with retiree names and the rest blank) and the bricks have already been etched with retirees information. This solicitation is specifically to install the bricks on the Hanover Courthouse campus. We are looking for a contractor to provide 2 separate quotes to install because we have identified two separate locations that the bricks could go. Below are the two locations with scopes that vary slightly. Both locations will require the purchase of additional bricks from Riverside Brick and Supply, Fredericksburg, VA to match the ones already purchased. The additional brick quantities can be found in each location section below. There will not be a need for any additional etching as that portion of the project is already complete. Location 1: Sidewalk between Martha Ann Fields Building and Chenault Weems Building (near 7515 Library Drive, Hanover,VA) - 1,140 bricks have been ordered but location 1 will need a total of 2,500. Since we want spare bricks to keep in storage, an additional 1,500 bricks will need to be ordered to fill in the remaining area shown in read in the image. - The total area is approximately 560 sq. ft. - The existing concrete sidewalk will need to be demolished. - Half of the existing grass space will be removed and bricks will be placed there. - Sand swept finished brick paver joints. - Installation pattern is running bond, with an etched brick - blank brick - etched brick layout. Location 2:Pea gravel area on the southeast side of the Administration Building (7516 County Complex Drive, Hanover, VA) - 1,140 bricks have been ordered but location 2 will need a total of 6,800. Since we want spare bricks to keep in storage, an additional 5,660 bricks will need to be ordered to fill in the remaining area shown in red in the image. - The total area is approximately 1,600 sq. ft. - The pea gravel sidewalk will need to be demolished. - Sand swept finished brick paver joints. - Installation pattern is running bond, with an etched brick - blank brick - etched brick layout.
