Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Hanover, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 90,000-square-foot municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to establish a contract through competitive negotiation with an architectural or engineering firm (A/E) to provide professional design services and construction administration for the Hanover County Public Safety Building. The new building will be up to 90,000 square feet and will consolidate the Sheriff’s Office, Fire-EMS Administration and house the Emergency Operations Center. The building will be located on the county complex near the existing County Administration and Emergency Communications Center buildings. Anticipated occupancy is scheduled for Winter 2028. In addition to providing the services to design the new public safety building, the contract may also include environmental services to identify the most suitable area to locate the building and delineate the parcel boundaries.
