The project consists of updating the Town's disinfection system with the addition of an 8' X 4' Chlorine Storage Room equipped with a hypochlorite chlorination system. All laborers and mechanics employed by Contractor or Subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as required by Montana Prevailing Wage Rates for Heavy Construction. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to Town of Ryegate, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. A. The Contractor shall, except as otherwise specifically stated in applicable parts of these Contract Documents, provide and pay for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, facilities, and services necessary for proper execution, testing, and completion of the work. B. The project will provide the owner with a new chlorine storage room equipped with specified pumps, storage tanks, plumbing, and safety equipment for a sodium hypochlorite system. C. The following are the major components of the work: 1. Construct an 8' X 4' chlorine storage room within existing building including installation of a unit heater, fan, emergency shower and associated electrical and plumbing work. 2. Installation of all sodium hypochlorite pump and tank and chlorination system tiein into existing pumphouse. Bids get rejected.
