Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete all General, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical and Site Construction in accordance with the Contract Documents. Work generally includes the installation of public utilities, storm water management, site demolition, site grading, building undercut and select backfill, light standards, masonry exterior and interior walls, steel framing, wall finishes, various flooring materials, casework, foundation, roof framing, EPDM roofing system, restrooms and accessories, Interior and exterior doors, windows, conduit, acoustical tile ceiling, insulation, canopy, ticket booths and interior signage and all necessary appurtenances and restoration for said construction. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Aliquippa School District to guarantee the bidder's entrance into the contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned. because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the State of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. The project is being partially funded by a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of Budget; Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant. The successful bidder is responsible to comply with all requirements of the RACP Funding. The School District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. The School District shall (a) award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder therefore, or (b) reject all bids received within ninety (90) days of the date of bid opening; provided, however, that the School District may, in its sole discretion, delay such award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date until the School District has received all required approvals from other governmental agencies.
