The Town of Calumet will receive sealed proposals for pulverizing and repaving approximately 2.0 miles of Weber Road from CTH G to Dorn Road. Work includes removing and/or replacing seven cross culverts, re-grading approximately 1,000 linear feet of roadside ditches, and adding or reconstructing ten field entrances. Bid Security/Withdrawal/Rejection: No bid will be received unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% but not more than 10% of the bid payable to the Town of Calumet as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the Contract, Performance and Payment Bonds, and Certificate of Insurance within fifteen days after the award of the Contract. If the successful Bidder files the Contract, Bonds, and Certificate of Insurance, the Owner shall return the check or bond upon execution of the Contract. If the Bidder fails to file the Contract, Bonds, and Certificate of Insurance, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Town of Calumet as liquidated damages. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the bids, without the consent of the Owner, for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time for closing of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. This project is being funded in part by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Agricultural Roads Improvement Program (ARIP).
