Bloomington Readiness Center PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Interior renovation including wall removal and new wall placement to provide two offices, three toilet rooms, an operations office/repair room, storage caging, a break room, and open bay area. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire alarm systems will be improved or added. 2% VBE/PBE, MBE (16%), WBE (5%) i. Abatement 1. Removal of asbestos containing sink coating and exterior window sealants as identified on the drawing and spec Section 02 82 13. 2. Intact component removal or stabilization of lead-based paint as identified on drawing and spec Section 02 83 00. 3. Removal and disposal of top layer of concrete floor surfaces in the Lead Acid Room 102 as identified on drawing and spec Section 02 84 16. ii. Interior renovation including wall removal and new wall placement to provide two offices, three toilet rooms, an operations office/repair room, storage caging, a break room, and open bay area. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire alarm systems will be improved or added. 1. Demolition of interior walls, ceilings, flooring, miscellaneous wood framing, concrete topping slab, elevated concrete slab, casework and countertop, toilet partition, interior doors, 2. Remove and replace exterior windows. 3. Construction of CMU interior walls, hollow metal doors/frames, ACT ceilings, grounded resinous flooring, LVT flooring, plastic laminate casework, solid surface countertop, toilet accessories, 4. Wire caging walls and sliding door for storage in Open Bay. 5. Remove and reinstall existing cooling and heating air handling unit and associated ductwork, and reinstall new AHU-1 and AHU-2 to serve the reconfigured spaces. 6. Extend plumbing domestic cold water, sanitary, and vent piping from mains at northeast end of building to new fixtures provided under this project. Install new water heater and route domestic hot water to plumbing fixtures, and connect natural gas to water heater and AHUs 1 and 2. 7. Provide new lighting, power, and electrical systems to serve the reconfigured spaces. Remove and replace exterior lighting of entryways. 8. Provide clean agent fire suppression system for server room. 9. Install new data and associated cabling to serve the reconfigured spaces. Install new data service cabling underground and connect to existing data. 10. Provide new Fire Alarm systems to serve the reconfigured spaces. Complete work - November 2026 .
