The Nassau County Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from firms to provide Professional Construction Management and Inspection Services for Nassau County Department of Public Work’s Construction Management Unit: Highway/Bridge Construction Group for Merrick Road Rehabilitation Phase 1. Services may include providing one Resident Engineer, one Office Engineer, part time CPM Schedule reviewer and two Construction Inspectors for management all construction related activities, contractor claims, and construction related engineering services. The firms selected to provide these services will be awarded a two (2) year Agreement with the County. Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. The Nassau County Bid Solicitation Boards are open to all registered vendors. Vendors that have not registered are able to view open solicitation opportunities, but they are not able to download solicitation documents or submit bids or proposals. Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 in the aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively. The proposer shall be required to comply with a good faith effort M/WBE goal and good faith effort minimum of 6% SDVOB goal for this project and with the requirements of Local Laws No. 14-2002, “Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts,” and 2-2016, “Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts.” All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local law No. 14-2002. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposers plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002 and Local Law 2-2016. MWBE UTILIZATION PLAN In accordance with Title 53, Nassau County Local Law No. 14-2002, all Vendors shall submit a MWBE Utilization Plan with their Proposal.
