The Lexington Center Corporation is in the process of engaging a General Contractor to provide various pre-construction and construction phase services for the Rupp Arena, First Floor Corridor Renovation project. The project involves the renovation of the first floor corridor and adjacent meeting room. This bid package involves new electrical, lighting, HVAC ductwork revisions, fire protection, new walls and finishes. The successful bidder will be the General Contractor selected by the Lexington Center Corporation. The scope of work items include(s): Division 2 - Selective Demolition Division 3 - Concrete Division 4 - Masonry Division 5 - Metals Division 6 - Finish Carpentry / Millwork Division 8 - HM Doors & Frames & Barn Doors Division 8 - Storefront Entrances Division 9 - Framing, GWB, Painting, Acoustical Ceilings Division 21 - Sprinkler Systems Division 23 - HVAC Division 26 - Electrical Completed and executed bids submitted on the Official Bid Form and enclosed in a sealed envelope will be received at necto architecture, 310 Old Vine Street, Suite 100A, Lexington, KY, 40507. Bids delivered by telephone, telegraph, fax machine and email will NOT be accepted. Bids delivered by the United States Postal Service and received on or before the official Bid Date/Time will be accepted. Final award of Contract will be made on the basis of a responsive and responsible bid which, in the sole opinion of Lexington Center Corporation, offers the best value. Following are generalized comments regarding the scope of this bid package. a. This bid includes shop drawing preparation b. This bid includes the modification of the fire protection system as indicated on the construction documents which will affect the building's fire protection system. Contractor must coordinate all work with the owner for the schedule of this work. c. This bid includes electrical work that will require coordination with portions of the building's power to be turned off for duration of work. d. Rupp Arena is an on-going businesses constantly booking concerts, events, exhibitions and the like. There may be times when the work must be postponed or interrupted to avoid disturbance to an event. The bidder must take this into account as he prepares his bid. The Owner will not pay for lost time or additional mobilizations Addendum #1 has been issued as of 7-14-2025.
