Renovation of a mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility; and playground / park / athletic field.
**As of August 20, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Work includes renovation of the existing Holshouser Building on the NC State Fairgrounds. Exterior improvements include complete re-roofing, repair and new glazing at existing steel windows, new aluminum store front windows and doors, new open-air HVAC enclosures, and enclosing of the existing open-air lobby. Site improvements include new storm drainage around the full perimeter of the building and various utility, landscaping, and accessibility improvements. Interior improvements include complete replacement of existing HVAC system, new lighting, various electrical improvements, new plumbing fixtures, new interior partitions, new toilet accessories, and new interior finishes. The state reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Per Krista Millard estimated cost is between $1M to $5M
