Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Searcy, Arkansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Proposals will be considered on the basis of cost, the bidder's financial responsibility, his equipment, and his past performance incompleting similar work. The City of Searcy reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive anyinformalities, and to accept theproposal deemed to be for theirbest interest. From approximately 3662 Feet West Gum Springs Road (Hwy. 267) to 1562 Feet East on Fuller Lane Question Deadline 07/04/2025 Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to the Project Engineer, Mark Lane, PE furnishing all labor,material, and equipment, and performing all work required for constructing the improvements toFuller Lane. The project consists of thewidening of Fuller Lane from approximately 3662 feet west of Gum Springs Road (Hwy. 267) to1562 feet east on Fuller Lane. The project will be constructed ina variable width right of way, permanent drainage easements, and temporary construction easements and is 1038 feet in length. The improvements consist primarily of reconstructing and widening the existing section including, but not limited to grading, crushed stone base course, ACHM paving, curb & gutter, drainage structuresand associated piping, sidewalk,and other miscellaneous items. Proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certifiedcheck upon a national or statebank in an amount not less thanfive per cent (5%) of the totalmaximum bid price payable without recourse to the City of Searcy, Arkansas or a bid bond in thesame amount from a reliablesurety company, as a guaranteethat the Bidder will enter into acontract and execute performanceand payment bonds within ten(10) days after notice of award of Contract to him. The notice ofaward of Contract shall be given by the Owner within thirty (30)days following the opening ofbids. The successful Bidder mustfurnish a performance and payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of onehundred percent (100%) of thecontract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety orsureties acceptable to the Owner.The attention of bidders iscalled to the fact that Act 150 of1965 (as amended), ArkansasStatutes, states that under certain conditions a Contractor must belicensed by the State LicensingBoard for Contractors before hemay undertake work in Arkansas.
