Reference Number 0000390566 Purchase Type: Duration: 1-3 years Option: optional two year extension The office of the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner (WRC) is a countywide elected office currently held by Jim Nash. The office is made up of approximately 370 employees who are responsible for the management of stormwater, drinking water, and wastewater services for residents throughout Oakland County. WRC performs operations and maintenance services for 22 local municipalities and numerous county and inter-county drains also including construction, asset management, environmental regulations, public education, water and sewer rate development, customer billing, and emergency services. The WRC is a regional leader on high-impact regional water service delivery projects. The Oakland County Purchasing Division, on behalf of the Water Resources Commissioner (WRC), is requesting proposals to award a contract for M-2 Metering Pumps on an as needed basis. Specifications: Currently, WRC has approximately 65 chemical dosing pumps in service, with about a dozen spares. The pumps are a mixture of LMI diaphragm and M-2 peristaltic pumps. The pumps will be used with 12.5% sodium hypochlorite, 5% orthophosphate, and 15% poly-orthophosphate chemicals. WRC is looking to obtain M-2 Metering Pumps, on an as needed basis, with the following specifications. M-2, Peristaltic technology Peristaltic pump design does not have valves that can clog and require maintenance. Cannot vapor lock or lose prime Self-priming - even against maximum line pressure. Gentle and efficient pumping action Quiet and smooth chemical feed Tube failure detection (TFD) system Flow Verification Sensor (FVS) ready Firmware field upgradable.
