Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Westland, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
0.78 mi of hot mix asphalt cold milling and resurfacing, concrete sidewalk ramps, signing and pavement markings on Merriman Road from Edward Norris Hines Ramp northerly to Joy Road in the city of Westland, Wayne County. This is a Local Agency project. 5% DBE Participation Required This work shall be in accordance with the requirements of Section 812 of the 2020 MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction and as herein specified. The Contractor is advised that the 2011 Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (2009 Federal Edition) is hereby established as governing all work in connection with traffic control devices, barricade lighting, etc., required on this project. The requirements for "Maintaining Traffic Along Project," as described in Subsection 812.03.G of the 2020 MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction, shall also apply to the maintenance of local traffic, where directed by the Engineer.
