Reference to available specifications shall be sufficient to make the terms of the specifications binding on the proposer. The use of the name of a manufacturer, or any special brand or make in describing an item, does not restrict the proposer to that manufacturer or specific article, unless specifically stated. Comparable products of other manufacturers will be considered if proof of compatibility is contained in the proposal. Proposers are required to notify the Sumner County purchasing supervisor whenever specifications/procedures are not perceived to be fair and open. The articles on which the proposal is submitted must be equal or superior to that specified. o Provide (2) two new 250-ton air-cooled scroll chillers of correct capacity to properly operate the existing system. o Removal and disposal of the existing chillers. o Provide any required piping, valves, and electrical installation, including new insulation and heat tracing for the outdoor CHW piping, if necessary. o Provide tie-in to the building's existing BAS control system costs to be included. o Any crane rental and trucking costs shall be included. o Assume the use of the owner's dumpster for the disposal of everyday construction trash. Any big items shall be hauled off by the vendor. o Respondent shall list warranty information and an approximate lead time on their bid submittal. o Respondent shall be responsible for properly installing units to concrete pad and ensuring proper fit as part of the total cost, including any necessary concrete work. o Payment and Performance Bond will be required. o Respondent to provide total costs including all parts, material, and labor required to complete the project. All labor should be based on normal working hours. o Vendor should detail any expedited shipping costs that decreases delivery times, if applicable. Sumner County reserves the right to choose expedited shipping. o Awarded vender will be responsible for ensuring all applicable code requirements are met Respondent shall list warranty terms, approximate lead times for equipment and materials, and provide an estimated project schedule for delivery of materials and installation in the bid submittal. These items may be considered in determining bid award. In the event that any interested vendor finds any part of the listed specifications, terms, or conditions to be discrepant, incomplete, or otherwise questionable in any respect, it shall be the responsibility of the concerned party to immediately notify Sumner County, via email at purchasing@sumnercountytn.gov, of such matters. For any construction contracts, contractor shall first execute a good and solvent bond before the contract can be awarded. The bond shall be for no less than twenty-five percent of the contract price on all contracts in excess of $100,000. Respondent to also provide breakdown of pricing if the owner purchases the chiller directly using the county's tax exempt status - reflect what the amounts will be for the chiller to be purchased directly by the county.
