Written questions regarding details of the project will be accepted Written questions may be submitted through online website or directed to the purchasing agent in writing (purchasing@cleburne.net) and answers will be posted through online The approximate quantity of sludge in the bottom of Aeration Basin #2 (project) is 1,600 cubic yards. Project Location: 1801 Park Blvd, Cleburne, TX 76033 1. Aeration Basin and Final Clarifier No. 2 a. Clarifier mechanism improvements b. Spray system improvements c. Baffle improvements d. Clarifier bridge improvements e. Aeration Basin diffuser replacement f. Grid piping replacement g. Drop leg piping replacement h. RAS isolation valve replacement i. Mud valve replacement j. Contractor will be responsible for draining structures prior to commencement of work. Site improvements to support items above including the replacement of existing yard piping. 2. Site electrical improvements to support items above including improvements to the control panel and associated conduits, conductors and duct banks. A. Wastewater Treatment Facilities: 1. The existing facilities are the City of Cleburne's only means of treating domestic and industrial wastewater prior to discharging to Buffalo Creek. Impairing the operational capabilities of this facility will result in serious environmental damage and monetary fines. 2. Contractor shall bear the cost of penalties imposed on the Owner for discharge violations or other violations caused by actions of the Contractor. 3. Conduct work in a manner that WILL NOT impair the operational capabilities of essential elements of the treatment process or reduce the capacity of the entire treatment plant below levels sufficient to treat the quality of raw wastewater to the water quality limitations specified in the discharge permit. 4. The status of the treatment plant shall be defined as "operational" when it is capable of treating the entire quantity of wastewater received to the water quality limits specified in the discharge permit.
