Construction of a 100,000 gallon water tower, a 6 inch water main connection and all related appurtenance, at 401 North Third Street, within the corporate limits of Hutsonville, Crawford County, Illinois. An alternate bid for a 75,000 gallon water tower will also be considered. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of VILLAGE OF HU76ONVILLE negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Bidder hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on or before a date to be specified in written Notice to Proceed of the Owner and to fully complete within 300 consecutive calendar days thereafter as stipulated in the specifications. Bidder further agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of $400.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provided in the General Conditions, Part I. You are required by the Information for Bidders to execute the Agreement and furnish the required CONTRACTOR'S Performance BOND, payment BOND and certificates of insurance within ten (10) calendar days from the date of the Notice to you.
