As of this time it is unknown if and when project will rebid.** The Borough of Phoenixvillewill utilize electronic biddingto receive sealed bids for theFinished Water Reservoir No.1Coping Replacement. Bidders are required toprovide Bid Security in anamount equal to 10% of thetotal amount bid. Bid Security may be provided in theform of a certified check or abid bond issued by a SuretyCompany licensed to transactsuch business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Upon award of a contract,the Successful Bidder shallprovide a Performance Bondand a Labor and MaterialsPayment Bond, each in theamount of 100% of the awarded contract value. Uponcompletion of the contract,the Successful Bidder shallprovide a 2-year MaintenanceBond in the amount of 100%of the final contract value. Bidders are required to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L.987, No. 442, where the project cost is $25,000 or abovefor public work projects. Only the Successful Bidder fora contract will be responsiblefor payment of a fee to PennBid and for bearing the costthereof. The amount of thefee due to PennBid is either1/3% (0.0033) of the initialcontract award amount forfixed fee contracts or 1/6%(0.00166) of the expected contract value for term contractsand will be invoiced by PennBid to the successful bidderupon award of a contract bythe Local Contracting Unit.The minimum fee is set at$150.00 and the maximum feeis capped at $6,000.00.
