The Authority seeks a Construction Manager with experience in managing complex multicomponent projects, and a proven track record of carrying projects in the District of Columbia. The Authority seeks an individual who has served in this capacity on previous projects. The procured individuals must have prior experience working with public agencies, on projects with multiple components, and on renovation projects. Prior experience working in a similar capacity for a public housing authority is a plus. The Construction Manager will work closely with the developer, the general contractor, and the building department to ensure that the project receives the required permits, that schedules are met, that the required inspections are performed by the city, and that the properties undertake all necessary responsibilities to obtain a certificate of occupancy or equivalent. Knowledge of the District's permitting and inspection processes is required. The work of the Construction Manager will be coordinated by the Owner's Representative. Contracts awarded from proposals received in response to this solicitation will have an initial term of one (1) year with the option to extend, at the District of Columbia Housing's sole discretion, for four (4) additional one (1) year option term for a potential total maximum term of (5) years.
