Renovation of a municipal facility in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Halifax Waters West Operations Facility, located at 455 Cowie Hill Road, was constructed in 2012. The facilitys existing roof consists of a thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) membrane, polyiso insulation, kraft vapour barrier, and structural steel deck. The upper roof area has experienced multiple wind-uplift failures. The roof has also had many leaks that have been repaired. Halifax Water is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the upper roof assembly. Halifax Water is requesting quotations for two replacement options: PVC membrane or modified bitumen membrane.
