Renovation of a military facility in Young, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
AMENDMENT #3: Answers Bidder Questions, attached. Title: Replace Radio Tower at Mt. Perkins, Lake Mead NRA, Mojave County, AZ Disclosure of Magnitude: In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this requirement is between $250,000 and $500,000 NAICS Code: 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction This is a small business set aside. The small business size standard is $45.0 million in average annual receipts. Place of Performance: This project is located in Mohave County Arizona at Mount Perkins Mountain top at Latitude N35 34 11.85, Longitude W114 30 30.92 and an elevation of approximately 5500ft ASL. See Section L of the IFB for quote instructions. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Any questions concerning this solicitation MUST be submitted in writing and received in the contracting office NO LATER THAN 1600 PDT June 23, 2025. Questions received after this date may or may not be addressed, at the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Questions may be sent via email to bradley_metler@nps.gov. Each question should clearly specify the IFB area to which it refers. All questions answered will be provided to all prospective offerors through a solicitation amendment posted on the Internet at the web page address (URL) of: www.sam.gov. The work consists of the following: Demolition and removal of the existing 20ft tall communications tower with foundation and replacing it with a Government Furnished 40ft tall self-supporting tower with new foundation. Work will also include the removal and replacement of the existing cable bridge. All removed components are to be transported from the site and properly disposed of. Work will also include the transport of Government Furnished Property from 101 Katzenbach Drive, Boulder City, Nevada to the project location. This project is located in Mohave County Arizona at Mount Perkins Mountain top at Latitude N35 34 11.85, Longitude W114 30 30.92 and an elevation of approximately 5500ft ASL. The site is accessible on foot from a parking area approximately one mile to the north of the communication site at the end of a dirt/gravel road at Latitude N35 34 53.72 and Longitude W114 31 09.13 (This road is accessible from US HWY 93 approximately 30 miles south of Hoover Dam). For equipment and materials delivery to the site it will require the use of a helicopter.
