The purpose of this Amendment 0001 is to extend the due date of the solicitation to July 8, 2025, at 5 pm PT, to increase competition. The National Park Service (NPS) at Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve (ORCA) has a requirement for supply and installation of a security gate. The project is located at Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve, Josephine County, Oregon. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, testing, and supplies necessary to complete the work as identified in the project specifications and associated documents provided as attachments to the solicitation. Supply and Install Security Gate, Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve The National Park Service (NPS) at Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve (ORCA) has a requirement for supply and installation of a security gate. The project is located at Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve, Josephine County, Oregon. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, testing, and supplies necessary to complete the work as identified in the project specifications and associated documents provided as attachments to the solicitation. Per FAR 36.204 the project range is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 238290, with a corresponding size standard of $22 million in annual gross receipts for the past three years. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Quotations are solicited only from small business concerns. Quotations received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall not be considered The Government anticipates award of a firm-fixed-price purchase order resulting from this solicitation. Evaluation for award will be made in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures outlined in FAR Part 13.106. The Government anticipates issuing an order resulting from this request for quotation to the responsible quoter whose quotation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered as listed in the Request for Quotation (see Section M). BACKGROUND: The National Park Service (NPS) at Oregon Caves National Monument (ORCA) has a requirement for supply and installation of one (1) metal swinging gate, removal and replacement with new fabricated designed gate. Contractor needs to supply design plans, supply and delivery of gate and installation of gate, which will require trenching and electrical work. All work will be located outside the city limits of Cave Junction. See description below for the work needing to take place. 1.1 Replace old existing gate with new sixteen-foot automatic metal gate: 1.1.1 Gate control module with a backup battery 1.1.2 Manual keypad that illuminates 1.1.3 In pavement exit strip 1.1.4 Open and close timer 1.1.5 Fifty (50) wireless vehicle gate openers (Nice Brand or equivalent, must be compatible with Nice Brand) 1.1.6 Dark Sky approved security light 1.1.7 Manual option to open and close the gate in the case of a power outage. 1.1.8 Vandal proof locking system 1.1.9 Vandal proof lock open position post 1.1.10 Road markings for pedestrian and vehicle access points to secure the 900 road at the entrance to the Historic District. 1.1.11 Gate control module should be hidden to the extent practicable, as to not interfere with aesthetics in the Historic District. 1.1.12 Provide receipts to the park of any material disposed of and or recycled to include tonnage, location of disposal, type of material(s) and dates. 1.2 All work will be performed under a single contract. 1.3 Measurement for payment: Measurement shall be on a lump sum basis. 1.4 Payment will be made at the contract lump sum price. 1.5 Location - Directions to Oregon Caves Monument & Preserve from Grants Pass Oregon. Turn slight left onto US-199 N (Crossing into Oregon) proceed 48.29 miles. Turn right onto Caves Hwy/OR46, proceed approximately 16 miles to Cave Creek Campground and approx. 19 miles to 960 evacuation road. 1.6 See Gate Drawing Example, Attachment 2 - Contractor to provide shop drawing for approval prior to fabrication and installation.
