Sedgwick County, Kansas (hereinafter referred to as county) is seeking a firm or firms to provide Architectural and Engineering Design services (A&E services). The following objectives have been identified for this contract: This project aims to replace the outdated Building Automation System (BAS) at the Sedgwick County Adult Detention Facility to improve heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) management, energy efficiency, and overall system reliability. The new BAS will provide enhanced control over essential equipment, including cooling towers, chillers, boilers, circulation pumps, air handlers, and rooftop units, ensuring optimal performance and parts availability. It is believed the majority of the sensors, valves, actuators, etc. would be reusable and can be rewired to new controllers The county reserves the right to reject all proposals. All proposals, including supporting documentation shall become the property of Sedgwick County. All costs incurred in the preparation of this proposal shall be the responsibility of the firm making the proposals. Sedgwick County reserves the right to select, and subsequently recommend for award, the proposed service which best meets its required needs, quality levels and budget constraints.
