The last day to submit formal questions for the bid is by close of business (5:00pm) on July 15th. We will issue a response to questions by July 16th or 17th. To receive consideration, such questions shall be submitted in writing as detailed below at least 7 calendar days before the advertised date for receipt of Bids. The project consists of expanding the existing recreation park with a paved drive, paved parking lot, sidewalk, and grading and infrastructure for future amenities (future amenities not included in this project). The project will include demolition of existing pavement, grading, storm sewer installation, enlarging and modifying existing stormwater detention pond, water service installation, erosion and sediment control (installation, maintenance, and removal), concrete sidewalk and curb and gutter, asphalt pavement, signing and marking for new parking lot. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570, on the amount of five percent of the Bid. Bidders may submit a letter of credit, issued by a local bank, or certified check in lieu of Bid Bond. Personal checks are not acceptable. The successful Bidder for this contract will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, in whole or in part, with or without cause.
