COMBINED 2025 POLICE DEPARTMENT HVAC SYSTEM UPGRADES AND DATACENTER PROJECT Each bidder is required to file with its Proposal a certified check or cashier's check for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of its bid, but in no event more than fifty thousand dollars, or a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of its bid payable to the "City of Fairlawn." Copies of the Check or Bid Bond shall be included with the bid solicitation. The Contractor shall submit the original check or bid bond to guarantee its bid to the City of Fairlawn by 10:00 a.m. on the day the project sells. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements In Summit County and the City of Fairlawn, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities or to advertise for new proposals, if in the judgment of the awarding authority the best Interests of the City will be promoted thereby. 1. Existing System: A. The existing Server Room is currently served by four (4) ductless split systems. Fairlawn GIG would like to expand their server farm into the adjacent Control Room and upgrade the existing Server Room with more robust cooling equipment. B. This phase will upgrade the existing cooling equipment in the existing server room as well as equipment for the new server room expansion. 2. Scope of New Work: A. There is a total of (8) new CRV rack mounted units. The existing ductless split systems will remain as back up. Interior units will be Liebert CRV035 and exterior units will be Liebert MCM040 pad mounted condensers. See cut sheets from Vertiv. B. Relocate the existing split system from the center wall to the south wall. 3. New UPS System: A. (2) new UPS and Battery Systems will be added to the existing storage room. 1. One will power the new data racks in the old lab 2. The other replaces the existing Tripplite UPS for the existing data racks. 3. Both UPS systems are connected together. B, Additional Cooling will be needed to remove the heat from the UPS units. Design Temperature of a maximum of 75 degrees for the room at full load in July.
