Approximate award date 08/14/2025 05:00 PM (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) Spartanburg County is seeking bids from vendors to perform and carry out, those services necessary to complete the SPARTANBURG COUNTY 4 TH STREET IMPROVEMENTS - PHASE 2. The project includes demolition of existing infrastructure, clearing and grubbing, design and installation of two new precast box culvert and headwalls, installation of storm drain boxes and pipe, earthwork, curb and gutter, asphalt paving, and grass. Project Documents located in Appendix A contain detailed scope of work, specifications, and instructions. Most trees have been cleared from the site. Tree stumps have been left to assist this contractor to complete clearing and perform grubbing. Duke Energy poles and lines are scheduled to be moved beginning October 2025 and completed by February 2026. Water lines will be moved by Spartanburg Water and Sewer when this contractor has completed mass grading earthwork. This contractor will coordinate with all utilities and effectuate their relocation. Two box culverts with headwalls and aprons will require design and pre-casting by this contractor. This work shall consist of designing a cast-in-place or precast reinforced concrete box culverts, and cast-in-place wing-walls, headwalls, aprons, and any other associated items. Design shall be in accordance with the lines, elevations, dimensions shown on the plans or established by the engineer, and the design requirements provided in plans or these specifications. This work includes site visits, geotechnical investigations, and supplying engineering design calculations and design drawings.
