Sealed bids are requested for this work. The proposed work consists of (including all other necessary and appurtenant work) the following: removing and disposing of asbestos-cement and ductile iron pipe water mains; installing 4-inch, 6-inch, 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch diameter ductile iron pipe water main; removing valves and installing gate valves; removing and replacing service lines; removing and replacing hydrants; permitting; construction survey and staking; project temporary traffic control; temporary water service and construction sequencing; temporary water pollution and erosion prevention; utility potholing; removing and replacing road pavement; adjustment of utility cover(s); channelization; restoring the site including property restorations; and other related work. The estimated cost range for this project is $3,500,000.00 to $4,400,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Supplement this section with the following: All work shall be physically completed within a total of 120 working days and no later than February 27, 2026, with the exception of Phase 2 water main at/near ADA ramps and signal conduit work at South 320th Street and 8th Avenue South intersection. "Phase 1" and "Phase 2" scope and project limits are defined in the Contract Plans. Complete all work on 21st Avenue SW by no later than December 5, 2025. All water main work along the South 320th Street segment, with the exception of Phase 2 water main at/near ADA ramps and signal conduit work at South 320th Street and 8th Avenue South intersection, shall be completed within forty (40) working days and no later than October 31, 2025. The Phase 2 water main at /near AD ramps and signal conduit work at South 320th Street and 8th Avenue South intersection shall be completed within twelve (12) working days and between March 16th and March 31st, 2026. A maximum total of fifteen (15) nights of work shall be allowed for the South 320th Street segment to limit the night time noise nuisance to the adjacent neighborhood for the entire project. The number of allowed working days includes time to accomplish force account work in the bid schedule.
