The City of Seaside, California ("City") Invites Proposals From Qualified Development Teams to Serve as the Master Developer for a Premier Mixed-use Site Along California's Central Coast. Known as the Main Gate Site, This Approximately 50-acre Property Offers a Rare Opportunity to Design, Finance, and Deliver a High-quality Mixed-use Development Aligned With the City's General Plan and Responsive to Current Market Dynamics. Strategically Located Near California's Iconic Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway), This Vacant Site Benefits From a Fully Functional Interchange That Ensures Seamless Connectivity to Surrounding Cities, Regional Attractions, and Major Transportation Corridors. Positioned as the Northern Gateway to the Monterey Peninsula and the Western Entrance to the Fort Ord National Monument, the Site is Uniquely Situated to Serve Seaside Residents, the Military Community, California State University Monterey Bay (Csumb), Regional Visitors, and Neighboring Communities. The right is reserved by the City of Seaside to reject any or all proposals, to waive any irregularities or informalities not affected by law, to evaluate the proposals submitted, and to enter into an Exclusive Negotiating Agreement or other agreement according to the proposal which best serves the interests of the City.) The City Seeks a Development Team With Demonstrated Expertise in Urban Planning, Architectural Design, and Commercial Market Strategy. The Team Should Include a Qualified Urban Design and Architectural Firm With a Proven Track Record in Delivering Large-scale, Mixed-use Residential and Commercial Developments. Through This Rfp Process, the City Intends to Identify a Preferred Developer/development Team to Enter Into an Exclusive Negotiating Agreement (Ena) for the Successful Transformation of This Premier Property. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
