No proposal submitted by any contractor which contains a condition or qualification shall be recognized or accepted by the City Council, and any letter or communication accompanying the proposal which contains a condition or qualification upon the proposal which has the effect of qualifying or modifying any provision of the specifications in any manner, shall be construed as a qualifying proposal and may be rejected by the City Council as not responsible. The City of Kearney desires to have the Harmon Park swimming pool paint removed as required and a new paint system applied at the swimming pool facility. The work will include removal of all failing paint, repairs to exposed defects in the pool structure, and removal and replacement of the sealant as needed. Description of the scope of work and limitations include the following: The Contractor shall abrasively blast swimming pool walls and floor to remove near all existing paint. The Contractor shall cut out and remove failing sealant in the pool tub. Install Deck-oseal sealant in accordance with manufacturer written instructions. Paint swimming pool and safety lines per attached specifications. The Contractor shall remove all debris in accordance with local, State and Federal codes for disposal of construction debris. Painting shall include but not be limited to pool tub including walls, floor, swim lane lines, race lane end wall targets, depth markers and safety lines. Existing sealant in the swimming pool shall be inspected by Engineer and Contractor to identify any sealant needs to be cut out and completely removed from joints.
