Richland School District Two is accepting an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to qualified vendors for the supply and installation of lockdown window shades across various district facilities. The goal is to enhance security by providing window coverings that can be quickly deployed during emergency lockdown situations to ensure privacy and safety. Bidders are required to submit sealed bids, including product specifications, a completed bid form, company qualifications, and proof of insurance. The project involves site assessments, providing durable and fire-safe shades, and ensuring proper installation with minimal disruption. Successful completion of the project will include post-installation testing, training, and a minimum warranty period for the products. Bidders are encouraged to explore the project location to familiarize themselves with the needs of the area and the constraints of the project space. Richland School District Two is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide classroom lockdown shades districtwide. The shades will vary in height and width throughout various locations within the district. All sizes (Exhibit I) are based on the dimensions of the glass only. Installation is not included as a part of this contract. The vendor must be able to provide all sizes of the shades requested in order to be considered responsive. The Hideaway Helper Lockdown Shade is to be used as a general guideline and should be bid as "Brand Name or Equal". By naming a manufacturer and specifying a model, it is not the intention to deter competitive bidding. The purpose is to identify and establish a satisfactory level of quality and a competent model for the District. Any item submitted under this solicitation shall meet or exceed these requirements. Shades shall fully cover windows when deployed. Window shades shall be able to be easily installed by RSD2 staff with no hardware or drilling required. The window shades must be able to operate quickly in an emergency. The District reserves the right to consider historic information and fact, whether gained from the Offeror's bid, question and answer conferences, references, or any other source, in the review of a bid. Bidder acknowledges: (1) that the District will contact various persons who are familiar with the bidder's prior work and related matters, whether such persons are voluntarily disclosed to the District in this bid or not; (2) that truthful and complete information is necessary for the District to make an adequate review of bid; and (3) that bidder will not take any action against any person who responds truthfully and in good faith to a bonafide inquiry by the District for purposes of reviewing the bids received by the District under this solicitation.
