The Work consists of building out eight (8) private offices to include walls, raised floor, doors, windows, acoustical ceilings, HVAC modifications, sprinklers, lighting and finishes. An additive alternate is present to install six Type B windows. At a time and place called out in the Notice of Invitation for Bids, or by special notice, a pre-bid conference may be held. All prospective Bidders are invited to attend the conference. Pre-bid conference attendees will be invited to comment on the bid documents or to raise questions that may require explanation. If deemed necessary by the Owner, an addendum to the bid documents will be issued reflecting conclusions resulting from the conference. The contractor's registration and business license numbers must be supplied on the Bid Form at time of bid. Within five (5) working days of the Owner's written identification of the apparent low Bidder, or Notice-of-Intent-to-Award Contract, the selected Bidder will provide copies of its valid Alaska Business License and Contractor's Registration. Construction Range: $500,000 - $1,000,000 All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond provided by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Alaska on a form provided herein, or cashier's check in the appropriate amount. Bid security must be in an amount equal to at least five (5) percent of the maximum amount of the bid. Prior to the start of construction and except as required under Clause 14, the Owner shall obtain all lands and right-of-ways necessary for carrying out and completing the Work pursuant to this Contract. If the successful Bidder, upon notice of intent to accept its bid by the Owner within the period specified for acceptance, fails to execute all contractual documents or give a bond(s) as required by the solicitation within the time specified, the Contracting Officer may declare the Bidder non-responsive and the amount of its bid security may be retained by Owner as liquidated damages. If all bids are rejected, the bid security of all Bidders will be returned within ten (10) calendar days after rejection. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Questions after the deadline, must be submitted to the email address on the front of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and may be considered prior to the bid opening, at the sole discretion of the Owner.
