Newly requested lighting bed to be installed in Room 1125 in Bldg 51 will require improved cooling capacity. This room is conditioning from central HVAC system of building with 6 inches transit to 9 inches supply duct and controlled by VAV with maximum air flow 290 CFM. A new medical equipment {lighting bed }will install in the room which generate extra heat around 8000 BTU/HR , to cool this room within temperature range it required 550 cfm supply air. 1- Demolish existing 6,9 INCHES duct from main duct to the room & VAV box & flexible duct and CD. 2- Install a new 12 inches duct with manual damper. 3- Install VAV box with maximum air flow 600 cfm. 4- Install two CD each one 275 cfm. 5- Install fiberglass insulation ,with enough thickness to prevent condensation. 6- Test and balance all modified systems. 7- Perform duct leak remediation as required. Connect new VAV box to existing thermostat and/or controls. for compatibility, update thermostat" The project is included in the city's 2025 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
